‘Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction’ Section 2011 Conference
The Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction (ICSI) Section 2011 Conference of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) will be hosted by the School of Communication, University of Ulster. ECREA's ICSI Section therefore now welcomes the submission of proposals for papers for this Conference.
Conference Dates: 8 – 9 September 2011
Conference venue: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Within ECREA, every other year there is a large Conference at which all Sections participate. In the intervening year each Section holds its own event. This biennial Conference is therefore the major event of the ICSI Section of ECREA. Each year the Conference is held in a different location in Europe. In 2011 the Conference will be in the historic city of Belfast.
Target participants: Scholars and postgraduate students of interpersonal communication and social interaction. Research students are encouraged and supported to take advantage of the formal and informal mentoring opportunities afforded by participation in the Conference and other activities of the Section.
The Conference provides members with valuable professional development opportunities, including networking and presentation, and learning about the latest trends in interpersonal communication and social interaction research, teaching and learning. The Conference also provides an important occasion for recognising the achievements and contributions of members in the field.
