Communication Research

There is a long-established and vibrant research tradition in Communication at the Jordanstown campus of the University.  Staff in this area, led by Professor Owen Hargie and Professor John Wilson, produce work of national and international excellence.  The Communication research thrust takes place across three main sub-areas, based upon and tracked to, three of the clusters recognised by both the International Communication Association and the European Communication Research and Education Association.  These are Interpersonal Communication, Corporate Communication, and Health Communication. Each of these sub-groupings has a leader who drives the research efforts in terms of staff publications, applications for external grant income, and doctoral students.
