Dr Roger Austin has been developing the use of ICT in inter-cultural education since 1986 first as Director of the European Studies (Ireland and Great Britain) project and more recently as co-director with Angela Rickard of the Dissolving Boundaries programme. He has published extensively on the impact of this work on student teachers, teachers and young people.
He was Head of the School of Education at the University of Ulster from 2002-6 and his recent publications include 'Re-Schooling and ICT; a case study of Northern Ireland', co-authored chapter with John Anderson in "Literacy in Technology at the K-12 Level: Issues and Challenges", eds.Leo Tan Wee Hin and R. Subramaniam, 2005
