Dr Ruth Firer is developing a seminar and a workshop for universities and teachers of secondary schools named:"Virtual Peace Education and Conflict mediation".

It consists of twenty six teaching units in Hebrew and English (to be translated to other languages,mainly to Arabic.)

It was supported by Odiseam (European Union) and the Truman Institute in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

She established the Forum of Peace Education at the Hebrew University (Truman institute) and directed it for a decade.She published mainly on the role of textbooks as agents of political indoctrination in Israel.

During the last decade she worked with Palestinian co partners on comparison of Israeli and Palestinian textbooks and on development of peace oriented textbook and ICT manual for middle schools.
